Steven William Buttrick

Steven William Buttrick, 64, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away in the presence of his family at his residence on Saturday, December 11, 2021.  He was the high school sweetheart and husband of Sharon Louise (Rehn) Buttrick with whom he shared 40 years of marriage.
Born in Needham, MA on April 1, 1957, he was a son of the late Sgt. Walter J. Buttrick, Sr., Retired U.S. Army, and the late Madeline (Ennis) Buttrick.  He was raised and educated in Needham, MA and later resided in Worcester, MA prior to moving to North Attleboro in 1986.
Mr. Buttrick was a 1976 graduate of Needham High School, earned an Associates degree in Public Communications from Mount Wachusett Community College and earned a Bachelor's degree in broadcasting with a minor in Natural Science from the former Worcester State College.
His favorite pastimes included photography, videography, studying astronomy, listening to music, and watching television.
He and his family attended the Evangelical Covenant Church, Attleboro, MA.
Steven's family recalls his love for animals, particularly cats, his sense of humor and love for the New England Patriots.
Mr. Buttrick worked in television broadcasting as a broadcast engineer most recently for Boston 25 WFXT.  Previously, he was employed by WBZ-TV 4/WSBK TV 38 in Boston, more than 28 years at WPRI TV 12/WNAC TV 64 and WLNE TV 6 both in Providence, Rhode Island.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two children: Sarah E. Buttrick of North Attleboro, MA and Seth I. Buttrick of Fall River, MA; his brother: Doug Buttrick and his husband, Renato, of West Hollywood, CA and several nieces, nephews, members of his wife's family, dear friends, and colleagues.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service on Monday, December 20, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Evangelical Covenant Church, 841 North Main Street, Attleboro, MA.
Burial will follow in North Purchase Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.
Please omit flowers.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Steven's name may be made to the North Attleboro Animal Shelter, 43 South Washington Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760 in recognition of his love for animals.
