Stephen Robert Mcginn

Stephen Robert McGinn, 63, of North Attleboro, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara Mae (Henning) McGinn who died on April 17, 2011.Born on April 28, 1953 in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Robert E. McGinn, Sr. and the late Barbara H. (Vanner) McGinn. Stephen was a graduate of Warwick Veterans Memorial High School in Warwick, RI. He received his Associate's Degree from Community College of Rhode Island, and his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from the University of Rhode Island. Stephen proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army.A resident of North Attleboro since 1993, he was employed for twenty-four years as a Hydrogeologist for IT Corporation in Hopkinton, MA before retiring.Stephen was a member of the Geologist Society of America and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. He enjoyed golf and cooking and was an avid reader. He is survived by his cherished children, Amy H. (McGinn) Battocletti and her husband, Robert M. Battocletti, of Maryland; and Michael V. McGinn of Bellingham, Washington. He was the brother of Robert E. McGinn, Jr. and his wife, Debora L. McGinn of Warwick, Rhode Island; and John P. McGinn of Boston, Massachusetts. Stephen leaves four nieces, six nephews, and many good friends.Visitation has respectfully been omitted.Burial will be private.
