Stephen "Steve" Francis Aucoin

September 28, 1950 — December 17, 2018

Stephen "Steve" Francis Aucoin, 68, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA.  He was the beloved husband of Beth E. (Brown) Aucoin, to whom he was married on August 20, 1988.
Born on September 28, 1950 in Tewksbury, MA, he was the son of the late Lawrence Anthony Aucoin Jr., and the late Eva Marie (McMahon) Aucoin.
A graduate of Foxboro High School, Steve proudly and honorably served our country as a Navy Medic in the United States Navy. Before retiring five years ago, he was employed in the field of Quality Assurance for twenty years at Cambridge Packing Company, Inc. in Boston, and then worked for Marlee Seafood in New Bedford, MA.
A resident of North Attleboro for the past thirty-three years, he previously lived in Norton, MA, and attended Second Congregational Church in Attleboro, MA.
A warm and caring man, Steve had a terrifically quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor. A generous man, he could always be counted on to lend a hand to others.  Steve was a Boy Scout Leader for many years, and a life member of the Elks and the American Legion of North Attleboro. He enjoyed working at the South Attleboro Marine, transporting boats, and was a Volunteer Firefighter for fifteen years in Norton, and for several years in North Attleboro.  He was an ardent fan of all the New England sports teams, especially the Patriots, and enjoyed the simple things in life, like meeting with friends at Honey Dew Donut. Steve held a special place in his heart for his rescue dog, "Cinnamon". More than anything, though, he cherished his family, and delighted in the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Beth, he leaves his loving children:  Danielle Aucoin of Cumberland, RI; Nicole Aucoin of Spencer, MA; Jeremy L. Juskiewicz of Plainville, MA; and Benjamin A. Juskiewicz of Plainville, MA. He was the proud grandfather of Ashley Aucoin, Kirstyn Aucoin, Hayley Primo, and Monique Primo; and the adoring great-grandfather of Noah Silvia. Steve was looking forward with excitement to the birth a new great-grandchild. He was the dear younger ("by five minutes") twin brother of Kathleen Nyzio of Warwick, RI; and the brother of Robert P. Aucoin and his wife, Una Aucoin, of Orlando, FL; Mary A. Aucoin of Moncks Corner, SC; Eva M. Curtis and her husband, Jason B. Curtis, of Camillus, NY; and the late Lawrence A. Aucoin III and the late Charles Joseph Aucoin.  He leaves several nieces and nephews, his extended family, and many dear friends.
Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Steve by gathering for a Visitation on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will be held at a later date and time to be announced in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA.
