Stephen C. Borucki, 61, of Precourt Lane, Norton, died at his residence on Saturday, March 21, 2015 surrounded by his loving family just as he had hoped with loved ones by his side, a gently falling snow and a cigar in his hand. He was the beloved husband of Estelle F. (Houle) Borucki to whom he was married on May 1, 2009. Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts on June 13, 1953, he was a son of the late Stephen C. and Cecilia (DeRosa) Borucki. He was raised and educated in East Boston. He was a graduate of Boston Technical High School - Class of 1971 and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from Wentworth Institute in Boston in 1976. He was the owner, operator and chief consultant of KABOR Construction Services, a construction cost estimator firm, for the past 30 years. He resided in Norton for the past 8 years and was a former resident of Attleboro, New Hampshire, Pocasset, Sandwich and Boston. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #2962 at St. Francis of the Assisi in East Boston. His family and friends will recall with a smile a man with a great sense of humor, always ready for a competitive cribbage game, a love for a good quality cigar and a fisherman who would encourage many of his family and friends to engage in the sport in any body of water including a puddle if he thought it may contain fish. He was a "gentle soul" even trying to make things easier for others as his illness progressed. He would have said he lived his life "his way" and all those whom knew him were better for having had him in their lives. Mr. Borucki was a communicant of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Norton. In addition to his wife, he leaves his wife's daughters: Stacey Johnson and her husband, Greg Johnson, of Johnston, Rhode Island and Stephanie Cooper and her husband, Brian Cooper, of Attleboro; two grandchildren: Marcus and Mia Cooper of Attleboro; his brother: Walter Borucki of Londonderry, New Hampshire; two nieces: Lauran and Ashley and many extended family members including his wife's family and numerous cherished friends.
