Stanley Albert Sencabaugh

Stanley Albert Sencabaugh, 77, of Lawn Street, Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2015 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center of Rhode Island. Born in Worcester, MA on March 23, 1938, he was a son of Albert L. Sencabaugh and Helen I. (Lengwin) Sencabaugh. A graduate of Shrewsbury High School, he enjoyed employment in the Circulation Department of the Sun Chronicle newspaper for more than thirty years before retiring in 1995. Stanley proudly served our country and received an Honorable Discharge as a Seaman in the United States Navy. He was a man who seemed always to be on the move, enjoying improving homes and then selling them. Stanley was a member of the Jaycees, loved watching college football, NASCAR, golf, and most every sport, and enjoyed woodworking and dining at Wetherlaine's Restaurant in Attleboro. Stanley is survived by his former wife, Elizabeth A. (Parmenter) Chisholm and her husband, Donald Chisholm of Attleboro, MA; and his three beloved children: Amy E. (Sencabaugh) Brassard of Attleboro, MA; Stacy J. (Sencabaugh) Mollman and her husband, Jerald R. Mollman of Attleboro, MA; and Rev. Dr. S. William Sencabaugh and his wife, Julie (Tensel) Sencabaugh of Shelburne, MA. He was the brother of Helen (Sencabaugh) Freeman of TN, and the cherished grandfather of Bryce, Shawn, Liam, Zachary, Drew, Jesse, and Jenna; and great-grandfather of Layla May. He leaves several nieces and nephews and his extended family. He was the brother of the late Phyllis (Sencabaugh) Truitt and Marilyn (Sencabaugh) Cox. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation with Veteran's Honors on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A Funeral Service with full Military Honors will follow visitation on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home. Burial services will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Stanley's memory to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth Street, NW, Washington, DC 20006-3517 would be appreciated.
