Sophie A. Sargent

Sophie A Sargent (Novak) of Sargent Circle, Attleboro, MA passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7, 2023 surrounded by her loving and devoted family at home.
She was the beloved wife of the late Donald W. Sargent Sr. Born in Needham, MA on December 15, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Nickolas J. and Edna H.(Ravinski) Novak.
Sophie graduated from Needham High School class of 1953 and continued her education at Boston Fashion and Design school and graduated in 1956. She worked for the William Carter Company (baby and children's clothes) in Needham MA for 33 years as an account receivable before retiring. Sophie enjoyed spending time sewing, knitting, solving word searches and scratching lottery tickets. She also loved gardening, flowers and spending time with her family especially her great granddaughters.
She is survived by her loving children, a son, Nick A Sargent and wife Debra (Weiss) of Foxboro, MA, and her daughter, Amy Sargent of Attleboro, MA. She is also survived by her cherished grandsons, Tim N Sargent and Jay A Sargent of Foxboro, MA and her great granddaughters, Natalie S Sargent and Vivienne H Sargent of Attleboro, MA and a devoted sister, Alice F Langford of Fort Mills, SC., along with many nephews and nieces.
Sophie's funeral and burial will be private at St. Mary's Cemetery, Needham MA.
The family is asking in-lieu of flowers to make a donation in Sophie's name to the American Society for Deaf Children@ deafchildren.org
