Shirley Ann Wujcik

July 1, 1942 — September 2, 2016

Shirley Ann (Ainsworth) Wujcik, 74, of Attleboro, was taken back by God unexpectedly on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of Stephen J. Wujcik, Sr., to whom she was wed on January 26, 1963. Born on July 1, 1942 in Cranston, RI, she was the daughter of the late Rowland Ainsworth and the late Ruth (Kenyon) Ainsworth. Shirley was a graduate of Cumberland (RI) High School, Class of 1960. A resident of Attleboro, MA for many years, she previously lived in Seekonk, MA. Her favorite work was religious, including working for many years at the National Shrine of Our Lady of LaSalette in Attleboro, MA. She also worked as a Bookkeeper for her son at New England Appliance Repair. Shirley led a God centered life around her loving husband and family, to whom she was totally devoted. A spiritual woman of devotion and faith, she was a longtime member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Church in Seekonk, MA, and led divine Mercy Prayers at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.  She recently became a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Seekonk. She enjoyed gardening, loved flowers, relished her miniature dachshund, "Tiana", and delighted in preparing Wednesday meals for her family that were as wonderful as any Thanksgiving meal.  Although Shirley is with God now, she will be missed terribly by her family and all who knew her. In addition to her husband, Stephen, she is survived by her cherished children: Tammy Ann (Wujcik) Petzold and her husband, Alan W. Petzold, of Attleboro, MA; and Stephen J. Wujcik, Jr. and his wife, Tammy Wujcik, of Pawtucket, RI. She was the adoring grandmother of Victoria Wujcik of Medway, MA; Christopher J. Wujcik of FL; David M. Petzold and his wife, Ivy Petzold, of NC: and Christine M. Petzold of Attleboro, MA; and the loving great-grandmother of Adelynn Grace Petzold. Shirley leaves her sister: Janice (Ainsworth) Munro of NH.
