Sheila Frances (McCormack) Tisdale, 72, of Childs Lane, Foxboro, died on Friday, June 24, 2011 at her residence surrounded by the love of her devoted family. She was the wife of the late Kenneth William Tisdale, Sr. who died on Friday, January 1, 2010 and to whom she was married on May 14, 1960. Born in Boston, Massachusetts on March 28, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Thomas L. McCormack, Sr. and Edith M. (Tirrell) McCormack. She was raised and educated in Boston where she was a graduate of the former Notre Dame Academy. Mrs. Tisdale resided in Foxboro for the past 40 years having moved to the community from Cambridge. She was employed as a secretary for Liberty Mutual Insurance in Stoughton for many years and later worked as a receptionist for the New England Patriots in Foxboro for many years prior to her retirement. Mrs. Tisdale enjoyed traveling and especially liked trips to Ireland and taking cruises. She leaves four children: Kenneth W. Tisdale, Jr. of Foxboro; John Jack Tisdale and his wife, Marietta (Flood) Tisdale, of Wrentham; Carolyn M. Torrey and her husband, John Torrey, of North Attleboro and Gregory Tisdale and his wife, Patricia Tisdale, of Sharon; six grandchildren: Nicole, Stephanie, Rebecca, William, Krystina and Daniel; two great granddaughters: Lynn and Juliette; two brothers: John Jack McCormack and his wife, Carole McCormack, of Scituate and Thomas L. McCormack, Jr. of Boston; a sister-in-law: Mary Ellen Tisdale of Westford; a beloved cousin and dear friend: Martha F. (Reilly) Shea of Winthrop; nieces and nephews and several extended family members and friends. She was the sister of the late Patricia Dunshee. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 from 4:00 8:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Those in need of a ride to visitation may simply call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis local transportation. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at 10:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Kelly Thibeault, Pastor of the First Congregational Church, Old Post Road, North Attleboro, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Foxboro. Following cemetery services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. Childrens room available during visitation and the funeral service. Please do not send flowers.
