Sheila Mary Rubeski (Harrington) 84, of South Attleboro, MA., passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Russell J. Rubeski. They were happily married for 27 years.
Born in Providence, RI., on February 18, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. Harrington and Winifred (Rehill) Harrington.
Sheila loved gardening and spending time with her loving and devoted family. She loved to sing and dance. In her younger days she enjoyed traveling, cruising and road trips. She was often described as the sweetest, kindest, "smilingist" lady. She was loved by all who met her. She was on the Board of her HOA - serving as their social butterfly. When she was too sick for any more treatment, her doctor said what is it you want to do? and she softly replied F-A-M-I-L-Y. That meant the most to her always.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving children, Kathleen Reddy (Terry Benton) of Surf City, North Carolina, Daniel Reddy of Cary, North Carolina, Mary Ellen Simons of Warren, RI, Sheila Mary Drew (James) of Exeter, RI, and Ann Mary Reddy of North Topsail Beach, North Carolina; stepchildren, Katherine Rubeski of Lady Lake, Florida, Cheryl Giannasca (Paul) of Rumney, New Hampshire and Susan Cohen (Robert) of Westford, MA. She is also survived by a devoted sister, Patricia Lewis of Punta Gorda, Florida; cherished grandchildren: Joshua Richeson, Jessica Reddy, Erin Raposa (Dylan), Kyle Simons Sr. (Leah), Lauren Moraes (Devin) Ryan Simons and Aibhilin Drew. Great Grandchildren: Kyle Jr., Greyson, Levi, Wyatt and Adelynn Simons, Mitchell and Julie Cohen, Paige Calisi Radford, Jenna and Laura Calisi and dear great-grandson Michael Radford. She was the sister of the late Francis X. Harrington, Sr., Michael J. Harrington, II and Daniel F. Harrington, Sr.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 11 AM in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 18 Baltic Street, Attleboro, MA.
