Sheila Anne Rogers, 71, of Taunton, MA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, MA.
Born on May 14, 1950, in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas R. Rogers and the late Terese M. (Shiner) Rogers.
She received her nursing certificate and for more than fifty years she proudly enjoyed her work as a Certified Nursing Assistant for several nursing homes in the area.
A resident of Taunton for the past twelve years, Sheila previously lived in Plainville, MA.
She was a warm, caring, and outgoing woman of faith with the most wonderful sense of humor. Sheila always cherished her family and loved spending time with them, especially her sisters, with whom she was close. Always an animal lover, she held a special place in her heart for her beloved dog, "Zola", who sadly passed away very shortly after Sheila's death.
Sheila was the dear sister of Donna M. Comtois of Mansfield, MA; Lois M. Lane of Fort Myers, FL; Christine Henderson of Scituate, MA; Mary Blass of South Yarmouth, MA; Christopher A. Rogers of Franklin, MA; Thomas R. Rogers of Newport, RI; and the late Matthew L. Rogers. She leaves numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, her extended family, and many dear friends and neighbors.
Family and friends are cordially invited to honor Sheila by attending a Memorial Visitation in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., immediately followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
Graveside services will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Attleboro Falls, MA.
The family kindly asks that those who attend be respectful of others by adhering to appropriate COVID-19 precautions.
