Sharon Lee Shaw

Sharon Lee (Sheldon) Shaw, 83, of North Attleboro, MA peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Madonna Manor Nursing Home in North Attleboro with her family at her side. She was the former wife of the late Robert L. Shaw who died on February 19, 2010. Born on June 5, 1932 in Augusta, ME, and raised in Roslindale, MA, she was a daughter of the late Leo S. Sheldon and Helen A. (Fuller) Sheldon. Sharon previously resided in Dedham, MA, and was a long time resident of South Dennis, MA before moving briefly to North Attleboro. She was a graduate of Roslindale High School, Class of 1949, and attended Bridgewater State University. She cherished her role as mother and homemaker, and truly loved her family above all else. She enjoyed playing softball as a younger woman, was an ardent and avid sports fan, and especially loved her Boston Red Sox. She was the loving mother of four daughters: Lee F. (Shaw) Kivetz, and her husband Robert S. Kivetz of Sandwich, MA; Lisa M. (Shaw) Ryall, and her husband, David K. Ryall of Nashua, NH; Leslie A. (Shaw) Deschenes and her husband, David F. Deschenes of North Attleboro, MA; and Tracey L. Herterich and her husband, Robert A. Herterich of Medway, MA. Sharon is also survived by her brother, Dr. David Sheldon of Hyde Park, MA, and her sister, Ann L. Beneway-McLaughlin of Natick, MA. She was the loving grandmother to eleven cherished grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. She was the beloved sister of the late Dr. Stuart Sheldon. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Ave., Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro 02763. Friends and relatives are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service to share in the celebration of Sharon's life immediately following visitation at 11:30 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home.
