Shannon Blake (Poole) Griffith, 43, of Attleboro, MA, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017. She was the wife of Philip G. Griffith, Jr.Born on December 1, 1973 in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of Dean Blake Poole of Idaho and Barbara S. (Roberts) Miller of Plainville, MA, and the step-daughter of Russell E. Miller of North Attleboro, MA. Shannon was a graduate of Hopkinton High School, attended Bryant College, received her Bachelor's degree in Communications from Emerson College, and her Master's Degree in Public Health Communications from Tufts University. In addition, she graduated from Rhode Island College, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Shannon worked as a Registered Nurse at the VA Hospital in Providence, RI, where she was cherished by her patients, and loved and respected by her colleagues. She was a resident of Attleboro for most of her life. Shannon's greatest joy was her family, with whom she loved spending time. Always a warm and gracious hostess, she enjoyed entertaining. She was passionate about cooking and loved sharing her joy and knowledge of cooking with others. She loved to travel, especially to international and warm destinations, and to spend time at the beach. Shannon was a member of the Attleboro Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She loved animals of every kind, especially puggle dogs and her faithful puggle, "Rae". In addition to her husband and her parents, she is survived by her beloved children: Madeline B. Griffith and Philip G. Griffith, III, both of Attleboro, MA. She leaves many friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service for Shannon which will be conducted on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. A visitation period has respectfully been omitted.Burial will be private in Woodlawn Cemetery, Attleboro, MA.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Shannon to the Friends of the Attleboro Animal Shelter, Pond Street, P.O.
