Scott Hugh Murray

Scott Hugh Murray, 53, of Perrin Avenue, Pawtucket, RI, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on February 9, 2015 due to heart failure. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on November 30, 1961, he was a son of Robert Allen Murray of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Martha (Ilkowitz) Murray of North Attleboro. He was raised and educated in North Attleboro where he attended North Attleboro schools and had been a Pawtucket resident for the past 27 years. He was a United States Navy veteran and received his honorable discharge in 1980. Scott was a self-described "professional scrapper" and was the owner of Metal Hunters in Pawtucket and was a proud member of the Carpenters Union - Local #535. He will be remembered for his quick wit, sense of humor and ability to make everyone laugh. Scott's world became complete when his son, Kory Scott Murray was born on January 5, 2010. He lived and was tremendously devoted to his five-year old son whom he affectionately called "Kory Bear". Words cannot describe the love Scott had for his son. They enjoyed fishing, particularly behind "Grampy's Shop" in Attleboro Falls. In addition to his parents, he leaves his son: Kory Scott Murray of Pawtucket; his siblings: Denise Cripps of Dighton; Robert J. Murray of Taunton; Angela Duffy in Alabama; Timothy A. Murray of North Attleboro and Pamela L. LaBree of Pawtucket; his nieces and nephews: Alissa, Brittney, Brooke, Dustin, Trinity and Aaron and many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends. He was the uncle of the late Steven Reardon who died on February 9, 2015. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, February 16, 2015 from 4:00 - 7:45 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the Funeral Service immediately following visitation on Monday, February 16, 2015 at 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home. Burial with be private. His family asks for all his family members and friends to join them as they celebrate the wonderful life of Scott Hugh Murray whom will be missed by many. Please omit flowers.
