Sarah Njoki Mugo, 60, beloved wife of Charles W. Mugo, loving mother, grandmother and sister died at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester, MA on Monday, March 18, 2013. Born in Kenya, October 10, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred Mungai Gathe and Penninah (Wambuil) Gathe. She was educated in the Kenyan school system and went on to become a School Teacher of grades 3-6. Her favorite times were spent with children. She loved to cook, read, swim and tend to her flower garden. In addition to her husband, she leaves four cherished children: George M. Wanduga, of Kenya, Elizabeth W. Wanduga of Charlton, MA, Allan M. Wanduga of Berlin, and Joseph N. Wanduga of Leominster. A sister, Hannah Nyokabi Rurii of Kenya, two granddaughters: Vivian Njoki Mungai and Riziki Ndunge Mungai, and many nieces and nephews both in the United States and Kenya. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I95-N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Funeral Services are respectfully private. Burial will follow in Kenya. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the family to be distributed to charity in accordance with Mrs. Mugo's wishes.
