Sara Jane Simpson

Sara Jane Simpson, 76, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro.
A lifelong resident of Attleboro, she was born in that city on May 13, 1944, the daughter of the late George Simpson and the late Winifred (Lincoln) Simpson.
Sara worked for many years as an assembler in the jewelry manufacturing business for Hallmark Sweet before retiring. Previously, she had bene employed at Texas Instruments and at the Englehard Corporation.
A warm and caring woman, she enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: watching television, especially soap operas; word search puzzles; and spending time with her family.
Sara was the beloved twin sister of Sandra M. Nunes of North Attleboro, MA, and the dear sister of Joyce I. Lyons of Attleboro, MA; the late Carol Genereau; the late George "Butch" R. Simpson; and the late John E. "Jack" Simpson.  She leaves two generations of loving nieces and nephews, her extended family, and many dear friends.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted, and all funeral services will be privately held.
Sara generously volunteered her time and efforts over the years to the local Relay for Life to support the American Cancer Society. As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society - www.cancer.org
