Sandra M. Nunes

Sandra May (Simpson) Nunes, 76, of North Attleboro, MA passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Madonna Manor in North Attleboro, MA where she had been a resident for the past three years.  She was the wife of the late John Nunes.
Born in Attleboro, MA on May 13, 1944, she was the daughter of the late George Simpson and the late Winifred (Lincoln) Simpson.  She was a lifelong resident of the City of Attleboro prior to moving to North Attleboro, MA three years ago.
She attended Attleboro High School. Mrs. Nunes had been employed in the housekeeper department of local nursing homes. She was a member of the Attleboro Elks Lodge #1014 and the International Moose Lodge in Attleboro, MA. Mrs. Nunes enjoyed solving jigsaw puzzles and was affectionately known as the "Mayor of Madonna Manor".
She leaves three children: Edward A. Bragaul, Jr. of Cranston, RI; Linda M. Medeiros of South Attleboro, MA and Michael G. Bragaul of Pawtucket, RI; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister: Joyce I. Lyons of Attleboro, MA; and generations of nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her twin sister, Sara Jane Simpson, on February 19, 2021, and by the late Carol Genereau, the late George "Butch" R. Simpson, and the late John E. "Jack" Simpson.
With grateful hearts, the Nunes family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff and professionals at Madonna Manor and Sturdy Memorial Hospital for the attentive care provided.
