Sandra "Sandi" (Ricciardelli) DeMattos, 74, of North Attleboro, MA, peacefully passed away at her home on Friday, May 5, 2017 surrounded by her adoring family. She was the beloved wife of John "Jack" Alan DeMattos, to whom she was married on July 12, 1969.Born on September 8, 1942 in Needham, MA, she was the daughter of the late Ettore Ricciardelli and the late Maria (Contanelli) Ricciardelli. A graduate of Needham High School, Class of 1961, she worked as a Secretary for various businesses over the years, including six years with Honeywell International, Inc. and for twelve years with Crosby Valve & Gauge Company in Wrentham, MA. She retired from employment in 2002.A resident of North Attleboro since 1971, she previously lived in Needham, MA. Sandi was a fun loving, sociable woman who made friends easily and who put everyone in her company instantly at ease. She loved to entertain and cook in her younger years, and enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. She absolutely loved being in the company of her family and friends. Her joy and enthusiasm for life will be missed by all who knew Sandi. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her treasured children: Dawn M. (DeMattos) Gula and her husband Todd E. Gula; and Greg A. DeMattos and his wife, Tracy A. (Richardson) DeMattos, all of North Attleboro, MA. She was the loving and adoring grandmother of Ryan B. Gula, Emily S. Gula, Dylan B. DeMattos, and Jake A. DeMattos. Sandi was the sister of the late Alice DiMauro, the late Lorraine Manning, and the late Raymond Ricciardelli. She leaves her cousin, June O'Leary and her husband, Dave O'Leary, of Foxboro, MA; several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Thursday, May 11 2017 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Burial will be private.
