Sampson Pakshing Yip

Sampson Pakshing Yip, 79, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2018 surrounded by his family at his home. He was the beloved husband of Eve (Tam) Yip, to whom he was married on December 2, 1963.Born in China on August 21, 1938, he was the son of the late Barr C. Yep and the late Nin Cheung (Chan) Yep. A resident of Attleboro for many years, Sampson came to the United States in 1984 from Hong Kong, where he was raised and educated. He worked for fifteen years as a Chef at Chinatown Restaurant in North Attleboro, MA until his retirement in 2001. A kind, caring, honorable man, Sampson enjoyed playing Mahjong and Bingo, and especially enjoyed cooking. He loved spending time with his cherished family and grandchildren, and had a special place in his heart for his late dog, "Pumpkin". In addition to his wife, Eve, he leaves his beloved children: Jenny C. Siede and her husband, Wolfram C. Siede, of Texas; Hester C. Yip of Texas; and Stanley C. Yip and his wife, Emmy S. (Sonn) Yip, of Attleboro, MA. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Alex C. Siede, Emily K. Yip, and Eric B. Yip.
