Sally Louanne Davis

December 29, 1943 — January 7, 2019

Sally Louanne (Nordberg) Davis, 75, a longtime resident of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2019 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA, surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of the late Larry LeRoy Davis who died on July 6, 2006.
Born on December 29, 1943 in Brockton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Harold Arthur Nordberg, Sr., and the late Margaret Veronica (Lyons) Nordberg.
A graduate of Mansfield High School, Class of 1961, she then attended Fisher Community College and obtained her Associates Degree in Business.
Sally was employed as a jewelry worker at Jostens's, Inc., in Attleboro, MA for more than twenty years, and proudly worked on several well-known pieces of jewelry, including the ring worn by actor Nicolas Cage in his movie "Snake Eyes".  She retired in 2006.
A resident of Attleboro since 1970, Sally was a warm, outgoing, brilliant woman with a bright smile and a heart of gold.  She was a member of the Emblem Club of Attleboro, and enjoyed playing BINGO Friday nights when she was able; trivia, especially trivia contests on radio station WHIM in Rhode Island, which she often won; watching Jeopardy; knitting; fishing and dancing, especially the waltz in the kitchen on Dunham Street, with Larry; and singing. She absolutely loved the Patriots - especially Tom Brady, of course, and Julian Edelman.  She held a special place in her heart for her late dog, "Heidi Renee" who was a loyal and devoted family member.  More than anything, Sally cherished her family and simply loved spending time with them, laughing at silly and sometimes off-color jokes, singing together, and smiling so bright.
Sally was the loving mother of Laura Davis Smith and her husband, Mark C. Smith, of Coral Gables, FL; Paul H. Davis of Attleboro, MA; Ruth Ann Tamble of Winnie, TX; and Melanie K. Davis of North Attleboro, MA. She was the dear stepmother to seven children including Robert T. Davis and his wife, Peggy Davis, of Saint Albans, VT; Larry L. Davis of Milton, VT; and William A. Davis and his wife, Pam Davis, of South Hero, VT.  Sally leaves her beloved grandchildren: Zachary, Bryan, Hannah, Heather, Nihkzy, Connor, Brady, Tanya, Caroline, Trysty; numerous great-grandchildren; and her great-nephews, Austin and Brandon; and great-niece Olivia. She was the sister of the late Harold Arthur Nordberg Jr., and his wife Kathy Nordberg, of Brush Prairie, WA; and the late Jo-Ellen Nordberg. Sally is also survived by four nieces: Kristin, Ali, Mary, and Callie, all of whom reside in Washington State; and her OG nephew, Jason E. Nordberg and his wife Samantha Hanlin, of Attleboro, MA. She leaves many cousins, extended family including Paula J. Pardey of North Attleboro, MA; her dear friends: Joan Partington and Cheryl McGrath; and a slew of others to whom Sally brought love and laughter.
