Ruth A. Viens

Ruth A. Viens, 77, of Norton, MA, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Oscar C. Viens.Born in Boston, MA, on July 3, 1939, she lived in North Attleboro and then Norton for many years. Ruth worked for eighteen years as a Test Technician for the Motorola Corporation in Mansfield, MA until retiring in 1998.She was a caring and giving woman who genuinely enjoyed helping others whenever she could. She liked working in her yard and had an instinctive love for all animals, especially her cat, "Sassy" and her bird.Ruth is survived by her companion and closest friend, Joseph W. Haggerty of Norton, MA, and by her loving son, Gary R. Viens of Norton, MA. She was the adoring grandmother of Eric and Jason, and leaves five special great-grandchildren. Ruth was the sister of the late Doris L. Lauze and the late Charles E. Arsenault.Visitation has respectfully been omitted.Burial will be private.
