Ruth Marie (Wilson) Pfeiffer, 94, of Norton, MA, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Golden Living Center - Garden Place on Pleasant Street in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of the late Melbourne Pfeiffer who died in 1989. Born on August 31, 1922 in Presque Isle, ME, she was the daughter of the late John Wilson and the late Pauline (Steeves) Wilson. Ruth was a graduate of Dighton High School and worked for Texas Instruments and the Donley Manufacturing Company before retiring. A resident of Norton since 1972, she was a member of the South Attleboro Assembly of God. Ruth truly valued time spent with her beloved children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook, and enjoyed crafts, carpentry, quilting, poetry and using her computer, especially to e-mail family and friends. She is survived by her cherished children: Dona Marie (Pfeiffer) Fisher and her husband, Charles F. Fisher, of North Attleboro, MA; and Shirley J. (Pfeiffer) Degraaf and her husband, Dick Degraaf, of Ontario, Canada. She leaves her treasured six grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews, and many friends.Friends and family are cordially invited to attend a Visitation on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, ¾ mile on the left) Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Children's room is available during visitation.Those in need of a local ride to the visitation may call the funeral home at (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such complimentary transportation.
