Ruth V. Henell

Ruth V. (Johnston) Henell, 82, of Norton, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA. She was the beloved wife of Robert Charles Henell, to whom she was married on December 17, 1960.   Born on March 20, 1933 in Brookline, MA, she was the daughter of George Johnston and Mary (Allen) Johnston.   Ruth graduated from Brookline High School, Class of 1950, and attended Emmaus Bible College. In addition to raising her family, she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for more than twenty years at Leonard Morse Hospital in Natick, MA before retiring in 1995.   Ruth resided in Millbury, MA for many years before most recently moving to Norton. She was a longtime member of Crossroads Community Church in Framingham, MA, and a genuinely avid reader throughout her life.  Her greatest love was always her family: her husband, children and grandchildren.   In addition to her husband, she is survived by her three cherished sons: Paul R. Henell and his wife, Carole Henell, of Marlton, NJ; Steven A. Henell and his wife, Linda Henell, of Marco Island, FL; and Thomas C. Henell and his wife, Monica Henell, of North Attleboro, MA; seven treasured grandchildren: Catie, Sarah, Makena, Sean, Cameryn, Connor, and Luke.   Ruth leaves her dear brothers: her twin, George Johnston of Duxbury, MA; and her brother David Johnston of Naples, FL; as well as several nephews, her extended family, and many dear friends.   Ruth was the sister of the late Lorraine Johnston.   Visitation has respectfully been omitted.   Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 1341 Edgell Road, Framingham, MA, 01701, with Associate Pastor Vinnie Capetta officiating.   Burial will be private.   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ruth's name may be made to the Community VNA Hospice Care, 10 Emory Street, Attleboro, MA 02703.   For additional information or to send the family a written expression of sympathy, please visit an on-line guest book at www.dyer-lakefuneralhome.com .  Arrangements are under the direction of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.   (508) 695-0200
