Ruby R. Touzin

Ruby R. (Fox) Touzin, 90, of Attleboro, passed away peacefully at home, on Monday, March 24, 2014. She was the wife of the late Eugene Albert Touzin, who passed away on October 11, 2003. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on August 22, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Aloysius and Ruby (Walsh) Fox. Mrs. Touzin was a graduate of Behrman High School in New Orleans, Class of 1940. She had been employed as a quality control inspector at Texas Instruments for many years prior to her retirement in 1989. She volunteered for the Career and Technical Education Department at Attleboro High School and she was a member of the American Volkssport Association. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, sewing, knitting and crocheting. Ruby also enjoyed painting, and crafts, such as beading and stained glass. Ruby was a lover of all types of pets, but had a special place in her heart for her parrot named "Big Boy". Mrs. Touzin is survived by her daughters: Janice Bradberry of Ignacio, Colorado; Patricia A. Touzin of Watertown; and Dr. Jean A. Doyle, Ph.D. of Attleboro; one sister: Ruth A. Arabie of Marrero, Louisiana; four grandchildren: Patty Smith, Rebecca Schleeter, Timothy and Kevin Doyle; four great-grandchildren: Thomas and Teagan Schleeter, Keanna Smith, and Emily Doyle. She was the sister of the late Thomas Fox, Patricia Appling, Frances Michel, James Fox and Behrman Fox. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Children's room is available during the visitation. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial, Monday, March 31, 2014 at 10:00 AM in St. Mark's Church, 105 Stanley Street, Attleboro Falls, MA with Reverend Thomas A. Frechette, and Reverend Walter Conlan S.J., officiating. Burial will be private. Flowers are accepted and should be delivered to Dyer-Lake prior to Noon on Sunday, March 30, 2014.
