Roy John Swiech, 69, of Plainville, MA passed away peacefully on February 1, 2021 in the home he built in 1990. He was the husband of Cynthia M. (Anisewski) Swiech to whom he was married on December 27, 1980.
Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island on July 15, 1951, he was a son of the late Louis Swiech, Sr., and the late Hazel Harriet (Garde) Swiech. Raised and educated in Woonsocket, RI. Mr. Swiech resided in Plainville since 1990 and previously lived in Central Falls, RI, Pawtucket, RI and South Attleboro, MA.
A talented carpenter, he built his own home and most of the furniture in it. As a laborer, he worked in both construction and cement form work. He had been employed by Joe's Concrete, RK Construction and Victor Holmes.
In recent times, he enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and watching television. He was a fan of the New England Patriots and treasured the time spent with his brother, Stephen, and all of his beloved dogs over the years.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, he leaves two brothers: Louis Swiech, Jr. of North Smithfield, RI and Stephen Swiech of Woonsocket, RI and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
