Rose Theresa (Dowdall) Vatcher, 82, of Middleborough, MA, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 21, 2021, at Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA.
Born on November 15, 1938, in Attleboro, MA, she was the daughter of the late John Dowdall and the late Mabel M. (LeMerrier) Dowdall.
A resident of Attleboro for most of her life, Rose worked for many years as a packager in the manufacturing business in Mansfield, MA before retiring. A woman of faith, she was a longtime member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Attleboro.
Rose held a special place in her heart for rabbits, especially her bunny, "Booboo", and won many awards over the years at rabbit shows and competitions. She loved animals of all kinds, enjoyed bird watching, and had a true green thumb when it came to plants. She cherished time spent with her family.
Rose was the loving mother of Rita A. Cobb of Plainville, MA; David R. Vatcher of Plainville, MA; and Cindy J. Robinson of Attleboro, MA. She was the proud grandmother of Christopher Goyette of New Bedford, MA; Nikki Goyette Patricio of Bristol, RI; Brandy Leary Parsons of Seekonk, MA; Matthew Robinson of Attleboro, MA; and Sadie Robinson of Attleboro, MA. Rose was the adoring great-grandmother of Ethan Patricio and Oliver Patricio, both of Bristol, RI. She was the last of nine children and was predeceased by her siblings: John Dowdall, William Dowdall, Harry Dowdall, Elwood Dowdall, Walter Dowdall, Edward "Bud" Dowdall, Dolly Dowdall, and Rita Allard. She leaves her extended family and friends.
Rose was the former wife of the late Anthony Bernard Vatcher.
Visitation has respectfully been omitted.
