Ronald M. Lareau Sr.
March 14, 1945 — April 12, 2021
Ronald Maurice Lareau Sr., 76, of Plainville, MA passed away at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, MA on Monday, April 12, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Susan M. (Craig) Lareau, whom he married on October 21, 1978.
Born in Coffeyville, Kansas on March 14, 1945, he was a son of the late Romuald U. Lareau and the late Annette (Nadeau) Lareau.
Reared in North Smithfield, RI, Ronald was a graduate of LaSalle Academy, Class of 1962, earned his Engineering degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1966, and received his Master's degree from the University of South Carolina in 1972.
He proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Army.
Ronald began his career with the Development Department in Columbia, SC and then worked for Square D in Columbia before joining Dupont in Delaware in 1975, where he was employed until 1981. He joined the former Foxboro Company in 1981, where he was employed until 2003.
He was a communicant of the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark in Attleboro Falls, Ma.
Ronald's favorite pastimes included sailing, hockey, as well as water and snow skiing. He took great pride in all of his sons' accomplishments.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his two loving sons: Ronald M. Lareau, Jr. of Wrentham, MA; and Jonathan C. Lareau of Boston, MA; two cherished granddaughters: Brielle McKenna Lareau of Wrentham, MA, and Elisabeth Susan Lareau of Boston, MA; his sister: Annette Foraste of Centerville, MA; his brothers: Albert F. Lareau of Gray, Georgia; Ernest M. Lareau of Hockessin, Delaware, and Richard R. Lareau of Denver, North Carolina, as well as his extended family.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
With strict adherence to applicable Covid-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the use of facemasks, family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at the Transfiguration of the Lord Parish - St. Mark, 105 Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m.
