Ronald Arthur Bazinet

November 8, 1949 — May 2, 2021

Ronald "Ron" Arthur Bazinet, 71, of North Attleboro, MA, and Boothbay Harbor ME, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Providence RI, after a brief illness.
He was the son of the late Bertrand Bazinet and the late Muriel (Provost) Bazinet of Augusta and Boothbay Harbor, ME, and the brother of the late Suzanne Bazinet of Augusta, ME.
Ron was born in Lewiston, ME, on November 8, 1949. He graduated from Cony High School in 1965 in Augusta, ME, and continued onto receive a bachelor's degree in Business Management    from Thomas College in Waterville, ME, where he was also a proud member of the fraternity Kappa Delta Phi.
After graduating from college, Ron moved to Burlington, MA, and was accepted into the managerial program offered by Sears Roebuck and Company, leading to a managerial career at Sears. Following a successful tenure at Sears, he left and worked for two Massachusetts based start-up companies: BJ's Wholesale Club and Staples. Being at Staples during the technology boom quickly led him to lead the company's corporate store where many new products and programs were tested for the company. Towards the latter part of his career, he transitioned into field management and loss prevention, overseeing 29 stores in the greater Boston area. After fifteen years with Staples, he retired in 2012.
Ron loved spending summers with his family and friends at his parent's cottage in Boothbay Harbor, ME. He enjoyed boating trips with his best friend and his wife, Scott and Ginny Vaitones, eating delicious seafood and taking in beautiful sunsets over Linekin Bay. Every year he looked forward to family reunions in Boothbay Harbor with his aunts, uncles, and many cousins. During the past ten years he traveled to Europe, Willamette Valley, Walt Disney World, and most recently he went on a long-awaited Disney cruise with his family and long-time partner, Kathleen. An avid New England Patriots fan, watching Sunday games with friends and family on his big screen TV was a highlight, and living so close to the stadium, he enjoyed seeing the players who live nearby. Spending time with his family and seeing his four grandchildren experience many first moments in their lives such as trips to the zoo, boat rides in Maine, and making icebox cake were stories he loved to share, and he took pride in having everyone "home" for the holidays.
Ron is survived by his two daughters: Danielle Bazinet-Austin and her husband, Dennis, of North Attleboro, MA; and Kristin Bazinet Laureano and her husband, Javier, of Haverhill, MA. He is also survived by his long-time partner Kathleen Hardaway of East Boston, MA, and three grandsons: Bradyn Austin of North Attleboro, MA; and Marcus Laureano and Tyler Laureano of Haverhill MA; and one granddaughter: Emilie Austin of North Attleboro, MA.
A Private Service will be held at Dyer-Lake Funeral Home in the Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, and a Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Boothbay Harbor at a future date.
