Ronald George Arehart, 82, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of the late Helene Bernadine (Brackman) Arehart, to whom he was married for more than fifty-three years and who passed away on April 16, 2014.Born on August 21, 1936 in Gary, Indiana, he was the son of the late Irma (Hughes) Blackburn.A graduate of Shelbyville (Indiana) High School, Ronald proudly and honorably served our country in the United States Marine Corps. Ronald was a structural engineer whose projects included the San Diego Bridge, as well as several of the original Las Vegas casinos.A recent resident of Attleboro, he previously lived in Chapel Hill, NC, and Falmouth, MA. He was a man of many interests, enjoying trap and skeet shooting, sailing, and building model aircraft and boats. He was an avid reader, especially about history, and a movie enthusiast. Ronald treasured spending time on Cape Cod, where he was a member of the Falmouth Marine Corps League, but most especially loved being with his family.Ronald was the loving father of Eric J. Arehart and his wife, Lisa M. (Zweede) Arehart, of Chapel Hill, NC; Nicole A. Biondo and her husband, Michael J. Biondo, of Andover, MA; and Shannon M. Johnson and her husband, Jason P. Johnson, of Attleboro, MA. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of Anneliese A. Merry, Clara R. Merry, Alexandrine H. Arehart, James Michael Biondo, Joseph John Biondo, Ayden J. Johnson, and Julianna S. Johnson. Ronald leaves many dear friends.All services will be private.Donations may be made in memory of Ronald to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
