Obituary

Roger Silva, 75, of Plainville, MA passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026. Born on July 15, 1950, in Taunton, he was the son of the late Antone Silva and Ramona (Weeks) Silva. Roger was the loving husband of the late Aline (Pelletier) Silva.

Roger was known for his enthusiasm for building and collecting model cars and his love for racing, often spending weekends at Seekonk Speedway.

Roger had a profound appreciation for music, particularly rock and roll, and found great joy in reading. His fondness for nature was evident in his habits of feeding outdoor wildlife and enjoying the serene moments spent by the pond across from his home, where he found joy in feeding the fish. He also had a love for cats, especially the three he cared for; they were part of the family for him.

Additionally, he was a regular attendee at Elite Boxing and Fitness in North Attleboro, where he trained under the guidance of Tracey Pierce, who became a true friend of his.

As a cherished grandfather, Roger held a special place in the hearts of his grandchildren, who were his world. He was well loved by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness.

Roger is survived by his son, Matthew Silva and his wife, Christine; his grandchildren, Jacob Silva, Jaxton Silva, and Briella Silva; all of Rehoboth, Massachusetts. He is also survived by his sister, Anne Silva Eckman of Wareham, Massachusetts.

He is predeceased by his brother, Michael Silva of Taunton, Massachusetts and his sister, Rebecca Norris of Raynham, Massachusetts.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend Visitation on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
