Roberta Lee Staffier, 72, of Norwood, MA, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, at the Charwell House in Norwood, where she had resided for the past six years. Ms. Staffier resided on Cape Cod prior to moving to Norwood.
Born in Boston, MA, on September 13, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Robert R. Staffier and the late Jacqueline C. (Barone) Staffier.
Roberta loved fashion trends, music, and the beach. She was an avid lover of animals and, in particular, dogs. Her dogs ranged from large Rhodesian Ridgebacks to toy dogs like Pekinese and Yorkies. She would walk them down Commonwealth Ave in her Boston days or around the many beaches or harbor while in Falmouth.
Roberta had a special relationship with her mother, Jacqueline "Jacky", filled with love, devotion, and care for one another that lasted throughout their lives. Roberta, regardless of life's peaks and valleys, had a joy for life and a megawatt smile that would draw in new friends anywhere she went. Once one got to know Berta, they loved her. She will be truly missed.
Roberta was the sister of the late Paul Rocco Staffier, whose loving nickname for her was "Bertie". She leaves many nieces and nephews, as well as grand-nieces and grand-nephews from her late brother Paul.
Due to Covid safety concerns no gatherings will be had at this time.
Roberta will be laid to rest with her dear mother, Jacqueline, and her loving brother, Paul Staffier, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford, MA.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Charlwell House and at Kindred Hospice Care for their attentive care and support.
