Robert John White, 50, a loving husband, adored father and dedicated son and brother, died unexpectedly and of natural causes upon arrival at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro on Saturday, March 23, 2013. He was the cherished husband of Susan L. (Monte) White to whom he was married on November 2, 1991. Born in Newton, Massachusetts on November 9, 1962, he was the dear son of Robert J. and Alice M. (Devereaux) White both of Newton. He was raised and educated in the native community of Newton and was a 1980 graduate of Newton North High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst in 1984. He resided in Attleboro since 1991 having moved to the community where he and his wife would raise their family after having lived in Newton until his marriage and move to Attleboro. He was employed as a sales manager for Old Dominion Freight Line in Cumberland, Rhode Island for the past ten years. Mr. White was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro where he worshipped with his family. His entire life was centered on the love and activities of his three much adored children - Kimberly, Daniel and Scott. He treasured the times spent attending their school functions and sporting events. He will always be remembered as the "World's Best Dad" to them. His favorite pastimes included time spent around his home and yard making improvements to the property and maintaining meticulous grounds and landscaping. In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves his three young children: Kimberly Rose White, age 13 and twin sons: Daniel Robert White and Scott John White, age 10, all at home in Attleboro; his sisters: Stephanie L. White of Newton and Karen M. Ottino of Worcester; his wife's parent's: Robert W. Monte of Ormond Beach, Florida and Rita R. (O'Neill) Monte of Coventry, Rhode Island; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends and colleagues. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the Funeral Service on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 8:30 AM from the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, North Main Street - Route 152, Attleboro. Burial will follow in Newell Burying Ground, South Attleboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Robert White Children's Fund, PO Box 2564, Attleboro, MA 02703.
