Robert Walter Vincent, Sr., 71, of Wrentham, died on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at his residence surrounded by the love of his family. He was the husband of Ethel May (Vinson) Vincent to whom he was married on August 24, 1968. Born in Newton, Massachusetts on March 22, 1940, Mr. Vincent was the son of the late Stanley Vincent and Ruth (Donahue) Sullivan and was the stepson of the late Walter Wilbur. Raised and educated in Walpole, Mr. Vincent was a graduate of Walpole High School and through trade education became a Master Electrician. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. For many years, Mr. Vincent was a member of the Local #103 I.B.E.W. as a Master Electrician prior to his retirement eleven years ago. He resided in Wrentham for the past 40 years. A man devoted to his family, he was content at his home surrounded by those he loved creating lifelong memories to be forever cherished. He will be lovingly remembered for his strong work ethic and the example he set for others. In addition to his wife of 43 years, he leaves seven children: Deborah Mullen of Wrentham; Robin Bean of Conway, New Hampshire; James Mullen of Attleboro; Dawn Barney of North Attleboro; Michael Mullen of North Attleboro; Kimberly Vincent of North Attleboro and Robert Butchy Vincent, Jr. of Warwick, Rhode Island; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters: Lee Guerin of Wareham and Frannie Anderson of Clermont, Florida; several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. He was the paternal great grandfather of the late Skylee Mullen. Visitation and remembrance services will be conducted privately in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Vincents name may be made to the Dyer-Lake Charitable Foundation, Inc., a registered 501 (c) (3) organization, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02760 to benefit the American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or the American Heart and Stroke Association.
