Robert "Rob" Michael O'Neil

Robert "Rob" Michael O'Neil, 49, of Boston, MA, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at his home. He was the husband and friend of Melissa "Missey" M. (Smith) O'Neil.Born on August 7, 1968, he was the beloved son of Robert Henry O'Neil and Christianne M. (Bartel) O'Neil.A graduate of Franklin High School, he received his Bachelor's degree from St. Lawrence University, and his Master of Science in Finance degree from Suffolk University.Rob worked for more than fifteen years as a Managing Director and Investment Analyst for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. A resident of Boston since 2016, he previously lived in North Attleboro, MA, where he had formerly been a member of St. Mark's Church. He loved music, and had a genuine passion for soccer, coaching North (Attleboro) Club Soccer for many years, playing all through college, and in a men's soccer league. More than anything, though, Rob loved his children and spending time with them.In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves his cherished children: twins, Joshua M. O'Neil and Hannah S. O'Neil, both of North Attleboro, MA. He was the loving brother of Kara Naff and her husband, John Naff of Franklin, MA; and Meghan Condon and her husband, Chris Condon, of Upton, MA. Rob is survived by several nieces and nephews, his extended family, and many dear friends.Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Rob by gathering for a Visitation on Saturday, October 21, 2017 from 12:00 Noon - 2:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
