Born in Pawtucket, RI on July 21, 1937, he was the son of the late Lawrence Specht and the late Annie (Myers) Specht. Raised and educated in Pawtucket, Bob was a graduate of the former East High School, now Tolman High School, in 1955.
He proudly and honorably served his country with the United States Marine Corps.

He loved fishing and ocean beaches; however, his fondest times were those spent in the company of his family, especially his grandchildren. Bob enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, working around his yard, and had a lifelong love for animals.

Specht and his wife, Mary Hayward-Specht, of North Conway, NH; James L. Specht of South Attleboro, MA; and Tracey M. Barney and her husband, Kevin Barney, of North Attleboro, MA. He was the proud and adoring grandfather of seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Bob leaves his sister-in-law: Roberta A. Jaron of North Attleboro, MA, brother-in-law: Dennis M.
