Robert J. Healey Sr., 96, of the Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA, and of Brewster, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 28, 2022, surrounded by the love of his family.  He was the beloved husband of his devoted wife, Patricia M. (LaPerche) Healey, with whom he would have celebrated his 65th wedding anniversary in October.
Born in Attleboro, MA, on May 29, 1926, he was a son of the late Thomas S. Healey, Esquire, and the late Mary I. (McCaffrey) Healey.  He was raised and educated in the City of Attleboro where he was a 1944 graduate of Attleboro High School.  He and his former classmates continued to have frequent class reunions.
Bob proudly served with the United States Army from September 27, 1945, until his honorable discharge on December 18, 1946. He was a resident of North Attleboro since 1957.
Mr. Healey was the owner and operator of Bob Healey's Service Station on Kelley Boulevard, North Attleboro many years ago.  He was later employed as a sales associate for Reynolds & Markman and by Pittsburgh Paint as an architect representative.
Bob was a proud small business owner of Westcott, Slade and Balcom on Smith Street in Providence, Rhode Island, from 1973 until his retirement in 1998. He was known as the Benjamin Moore paint expert by both contractors and consumers.
A lifelong devout Catholic, he was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church in Attleboro in earlier years and later served on the building committee of St. Mark's Church where he was an active communicant.
He was a past exalted ruler and life member of the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks - Lodge 1014, Attleboro.
"Mr. Bob" had a keen sense of humor, was an avid reader and was proud of his Irish heritage, but most of all enjoyed creating lifelong memories with his cherished family and friends.
In addition to his loving wife, he leaves his four children: Robert J. Healey Jr. of Brooklyn, New York; Stephen J. Healey of Providence, Rhode Island; Janice Cooney and her husband, Joseph Cooney, of Edgewood, Rhode Island; and Christin Sims and her husband, Andrew Sims, of Brewster, MA; four grandchildren: McCaffrey Cooney, Nolan Cooney, Lucy Sims, and Molly Sims, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
He was the brother of the late Thomas S. Healey Jr. and the late Edward J. Healey Sr.
