Robert K. Griswold

Robert Kenney Griswold, 75, of Charlestown, Rhode Island, passed away in the company of his family at his sister's residence in North Attleboro, MA on March 23, 2022.  He was happily married to the late Arlene R. (Bruno) Griswold for 34 years.
Born in Attleboro, MA on November 9, 1946, he was a son of the late Frank Tabor Griswold and the late Georgina Louise (Kenney) Griswold.  He was raised and educated in North Attleboro where he was a 1965 graduate of North Attleboro High School. He later earned his bachelor's degree in education from the former Bridgewater State Teacher's College.
He proudly served his country with the United States Army during the Vietnam era.
Mr. Griswold was employed as an assistant manager for Benny's in Westerly, Rhode Island for many years and was also the owner and operator of East Beach Appliances in Charlestown.
He resided in Charlestown for almost 50 years having moved to the community from his native North Attleboro.
Robert was a history buff extraordinaire and was a fan of Winston Churchill.  As an avid reader, he enjoyed science fiction and trips to the casino and was a huge New England Patriots fan.
He leaves his sister: Jane Alma Griswold of North Attleboro, MA and Hammondsport, New York; a sister-in-law: Shirley Griswold of North Attleboro, MA and generations of beloved nieces and nephews.  Mr. Griswold was the brother of the late Georgiana Lois Griswold and the late Frank Michael Griswold.
At his specific wish, all service and burial will be private.
