Robert Mack Glass

Robert Mack Glass, 84, of North Attleboro, formerly of Foxborough, MA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Jacquelyn F. (Fauls) Glass, with whom he celebrated their sixty-first wedding anniversary on July 7, 2017.Robert was born in Kansas City, MO on January 16, 1933, the son of the late Dr. Robert Kelly and Dr. Anna Ruth (McNeff) Glass. He attended school in Atlanta, GA and was a proud alumnus of Georgia Tech, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in 1955. He was a member of the Instrument Society of America, the American Institute of Chemical Engineering, and was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity for many years. After moving north to Foxborough, he was employed as an Application Engineer for over thirty years at the Foxboro Company, and for ten years at American Lewa, Inc. in Holliston, MA. After retiring in 1999, he worked for several years as a Tax Preparer at H & R Block. Robert was a member of Central Congregational Church for over forty years, where he sang in the choir and served on the Board of Trustees. While living in Foxborough, he served on the Advisory Board, School Committee, and the High School Building Committee, and was a member of the St. Albans Lodge.His happiest times were spent with his grandchildren at their sporting events or playing board games. He certainly lived up to his license plate: "World's Greatest Grandpa." He is survived by his children: Melissa Glass of North Attleboro; Mark Glass of Spartanburg, SC; and Robert Glass and his wife, Wendy (Taylor) Glass, of North Attleboro, MA. He was the grandfather of Jillian E. and Ryan R. Boraski, and James J., Hannah M., Robert L., Riley E., and Cayden M. Glass. Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Robert by gathering for a Visitation on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, July 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Central Congregational Church, 115 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Carole L. Baker, Pastor, officiating.Burial services will immediately follow in Mount Hope Cemetery and Arboretum, 565 Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro, MA.
