Robert Thomas Flaherty, 81, of Brockton, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his home. Born on December 9, 1936 in Boston, MA, he was the son of the late Francis J. Flaherty and the late Mary E. (Butler) Flaherty.Before retiring, he worked for many years in the transportation business as a truck driver.A recent resident of Brockton, he previously lived in Randolph and in Quincy, MA.He was the dear brother of Janice Williams, with whom he resided, and was predeceased by his siblings: James Flaherty, Francis J. Flaherty, John Joseph Flaherty, and Rose Flaherty.Private graveside services for Robert will be held in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Arlington, MA.
