Robert "Bob" Eric Mansen, Excavating Contractor, 74, of North Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. He was the husband of Georgia M. (Jewell) Mansen.Born on July 14, 1944 in Norwood, MA, he was the son of the late Carl Frederick Mansen Sr. and the late Alice (Sullivan) Mansen.Raised and educated in Walpole, MA, he was the proud owner of R.E. Mansen Excavating Company before retiring in 1985. A resident of North Attleboro for the past six years, he had previously lived in Foxboro, Wrentham, and Plainville, MA. Bob attended Walpole United Methodist Church for many years.A kind, caring and giving man, Bob's beloved family played the most important part of his life. He was a member of the Freemasons in Walpole and the Hockomock YMCA. He loved watching auto racing and was an avid sports fan, especially of baseball and the Boston Red Sox. More than anything, he enjoyed working construction with his sons. In addition to his wife, Georgia, he leaves his loving children: Robert "Kevin" Kevin Mansen and his wife, Deborah Mansen, of Walpole, MA, and Rodney "Rod" Eric Mansen and his wife, Ellen (Lin) Mansen, of Bellingham, MA. He was the adoring grandfather of Kevin Eric Mansen and Emily Maria Mansen. Bob was the brother of Kenneth Mansen of Hyde Park, MA; Richard Mansen of Norwood, MA; and the late Carl Frederick Mansen Jr. He leaves several nieces and nephews and many good friends.
