Robert Louis Cobb

Robert Louis Cobb, 90, of Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris Marcia (Barrowman) Cobb who died on September 18, 2011.Born on January 20, 1928 in Attleboro, he was the son of the late Louis William and Sadie (Stevenson) Cobb.A graduate of Attleboro High School, he also attended Rhode Island School of Design and Bristol Community College. He worked for many years as a Toolmaker in Attleboro area. Robert proudly and honorably served our country in the National Guard.A lifelong resident of Attleboro, Robert was a man of faith and devotion. He was a member of the Living Hope Assembly of God in Pawtucket, RI., and taught Sunday School at the First Baptist Church in Attleboro. A man of many interests, he enjoyed fishing, bird watching, gardening, music, art, served over 500 hours Volunteer Service at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, and often attended the Attleboro Elks Club. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.He was the loving father of William L. Cobb and his wife, Jean (Cameron) Cobb, of Pawtucket, RI; Peter H. Cobb and his wife, Bridgette (Cotter) Cobb, of North Attleboro, MA; and Cynthia M. (Cobb) Hill and her husband, Robert W. Hill, of Attleboro, MA. He was the proud grandfather of Stephen L. Cobb, Deborah A. Reed, Susan I. Hill, and Elizabeth C. Hill. Robert was the brother of Irvin "Bud" Cobb of North Attleboro and Mansfield, MA.Friends and family are cordially invited to honor and remember Robert by gathering for a Visitation with Veteran's Honors on Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA.
