Robert
Bury
June 9, 2026 – June 9, 2026
Robert D. Bury, Jr. (Bob Bury), 63, of Rehoboth Ma, passed away peacefully at home on June 8, 2026.
Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Robert and Rita (Gauthier) Bury. Bob was the beloved husband of Tracy (Sargent) Bury for 22 years, and together for a total of 38 years. He was the proud father of his daughter, Meghan Bury, and the adoring "Papa" of Eliza Blake and Jasper Pinto. He is also survived by his siblings, Robin Masland and her husband Chad Masland, Dana Bury, and Aubrey Bury.
Bob was the kind of guy who would give you the shirt off his back. He believed in treating everyone with kindness and compassion. A true animal lover, he often cared for injured animals, giving them a safe place to heal. At home, he took great pride in caring for his home, the yard, and the family's cars. If something needed fixing, he was up for the challenge. He could often be found happily tinkering with radios, speakers, and all kinds of gadgets.
Among his many titles, "fun-uncle" might have been a favorite. Bob cherished time with his nieces and nephews and was always ready to join in on the fun. He found simple joy in many things, including bike riding, "joy rides" in the car, and blasting his favorite R&B and Hip Hop tunes. Even in washing cars-his own, the family's, and even the neighbors'. His biggest joys were in the small rituals of everyday life: time with his family, a pack of Marlboro Red's and a good cup of coffee...or six.
After graduating from Dighton- Rehoboth Regional High School, Bob went straight into the workforce. A hardworking physical laborer, he spent 20-plus years as an independent contractor working at Tigh Warehouse in Mansfield, MA, earning respect for his grit and reliability. Over 10 years ago, he was diagnosed with Lyme disease, and in the years that followed, he faced numerous health challenges that brought life-changing chronic conditions. Even so, he met challenges with resilience, humor, and a contagious laugh that could lighten any situation. His warmth, generosity, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, August 8th, 2026-details to be released at a later time.
