Robert Peter Ares

Robert Peter Ares, 58, of Plainville, MA, passed away happily and peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. Born on October 4, 1959 in Norwood, MA, he was the loving and beloved son of Paul E. Ares and Claire L. (Coutu) Ares of Plainville, MA.Robert worked for many years as a Welder for Senior Aerospace Metal Bellows in Sharon, MA, having attended Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School.A resident of Plainville for the past ten years, he previously lived in Brockton, MA, and attended St. Martha Roman Catholic Church in Plainville.A happy-go-lucky man with a love of life, he had a heart of gold and a wonderful sense of humor. He loved to enter contests of all kinds, often with great luck and good fortune. Robert treasured spending time with his family and many friends, and especially enjoyed playing Cribbage with his father. His caring and generous spirit will truly be missed. In addition to his parents, he leaves his cherished children: Christopher Ares of Woonsocket, RI, and Gabrielle Ares of Foxboro, MA. Robert was the proud grandfather of Emma Ares and Benjamin Ares, and the dear brother of Michael P. Ares of Norton, MA; David C. Ares of Millinocket, ME; Paul J. Ares of Norton, MA; Diane M. West of Plainville, MA; and James D. Ares of Northboro, MA.
