Ritesh Chandra, 44, of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, passed away after a courageous, positive and inspiring battle with Colorectal Cancer on Thursday, October 1, 2020 with his beloved wife Dipti Mehta by his side.
He was the beloved and loving husband of Dipti Mehta and caring and affectionate dad to Dev and Aashi. Born in Barauni, India to beloved parents Arun Kumar Srivastava and Maya Srivastava, and the loving brother of Deeptesh Chandra and Deeksha Sinha.
Ritesh was an alumnus of Bridgewater State University and Director of Computing Support Services. He loved his job, IT coworkers (his other family) and the BSU Community with whom he has forged long lasting friendships.
Ritesh was a selfless, kind, thoughtful, positive, fun-loving, friendly person, a warrior, an inspiration and full of energy kind of guy and always went above and beyond for anyone. He has touched so many that have crossed his path in a special way. He lived life to the fullest for and with his family. He leaves behind family, numerous friends and relatives that adore and love him.
With strict adherence to applicable COVID-19 health precautions, including social distancing and the mandatory use of facemasks and a limitation on the number of visitors, family and friends are cordially invited to gather and honor Ritesh at a Visitation and Hindu Ritual Service on Sunday, October 4, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, followed by a Private traditional Hindu Cremation Service at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn North Purchase Crematory, Attleboro, Massachusetts. A livestream of the service will be made available.
Ritesh loved to color coordinate his clothes and shoes and so visitors are kindly asked to wear colorful attire.
