Rita May (Ranley) Ranaletti-Arigo, 84, of Plainville, MA and a former Mansfield, MA resident, entered into eternal rest on June 5, 2024, at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, Rhode Island. She was the wife of Anthony J. Arigo to whom she was married on February 24, 2006. They fell in love upon first sight.
Born in New York, New York on May 21, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Patrick Ranley and the late Sanda J. (Gentile) Ranley.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a contract administrator for Parsons-Brinckerhoff in Boston, MA for 13 years and was known as the "Queen of the Big Dig". She was known for her strong work ethic to her colleagues.
She was a faithful communicant of St. Martha Parish in Plainville for many years.
Rita May and Tony were almost always together and their perfect day would be any day that the two of them could share each other's company.
Family and friends recall Rita's smile as she entered any room.
In addition to her husband of 18 years, she leaves her children: Renee Clark of Millis, MA and Lawrence Todesco in Florida; two grandchildren: Zachary Clark of Millis, MA and Hailey Clark of Wrentham, MA; her siblings: Roberta Greaney in Maine; her husband's children: Steven Arigo and Susann Little both in Maryland; her beloved cat, "Midnight" and several extended family members and friends.
She was the sister of the late Lois Ranley and Thomas Ranley.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
All are welcome to Celebrate Rita May's life and faith by attending a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at 10:30 am at St. Martha Parish, 227 South Street, Plainville, MA.
Burial will be private in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham, MA.
Following church services, an invitation will be extended to join the family in the lower level of the church for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments.
Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name and honor may be made to St. Martha Parish, 227 South Street, Plainville, MA 02762.
