Rita Mcauley

Rita McAuley, 98, of West Bridgewater, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater in West Bridgewater, MA. Born in Boston, MA on June 21, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Edward Langdon and the late Mary (McCormick) Langdon.Before living in West Bridgewater, Rita resided in Raynham, MA for more than twenty years. She worked for many years as an Assembler for Honeywell, Inc. in Brighton, MA.Rita was a loving and much loved woman whose greatest pleasures derived from her family and time spent with them. She enjoyed cooking, and especially making her delicious cookies.She is survived by her children: Barbara (McAuley) Huntress of Norton, MA; Patricia (McAuley) DeMarco of Foxboro, MA; and Thomas E. McAuley of Raynham, MA. She leaves eleven cherished grandchildren; nine treasured great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Rita was the adoring mother of the late Frank McAuley, and the sister of the late Edward Langdon and the late Mary (Langdon) Donovan.Visitation has respectfully been omitted.Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. in the "Robinson Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson - 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.Burial will be private.Children's room is available during the funeral service.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Rita's honor to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-8750 or at www.heart.org .
