Rita Anne (Sannella) Lauletta , 84, of South Attleboro, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 4, 2013 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Ralph Sannella and Thomase (Laurano) Sannella. Rita was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Benjamin F. Lauletta in August 2010. She is survived by her children: Angela M. Ribeiro and her husband Stanley L. of South Attleboro; Joanne Lauletta Doane and her husband, Edward of Solon, Maine; Benjamin Lauletta and his wife, Sally of Wynantskill, New York; James T. Lauletta of South Attleboro. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and two great-grand-children. She was predeceased by her brother Frank and sister Rose Sannella. Rita is also survived by her husband's family-Carmella Sasso, Netta Festa, and Anthony Lauletta as well as many nieces and nephews. She was a former employee of Pilgrim Trust Bank in Boston and became a full-time homemaker in 1953. Rita was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and cooking grand holiday meals. She was a phenomenal cook and baker. Rita was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, crossword puzzle enthusiast, and Scrabble player extraordinaire. She was also known for her creative talents with knitting, crocheting, and other crafts. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 4-8 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right, mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 9:00 AM at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 18 Baltic Street in South Attleboro, with Father Jon-Paul Gallant, officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, in Everett, Massachusetts, with Father Vincent Gianni, officiating. Memorial donations in Mrs. Lauletta's name may be made to benefit the CVNA in Attleboro.
