Rita M. Hutchings (Coury) "Lorraine" 93, of North Attleboro, MA., passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Madonna Manor in North Attleboro.
She was the beloved wife of the late Richard F. Hutchings.
Born in Boston, MA., she was the daughter of the late John and Marie (Monsur) Coury.
Lorraine was employed at Microcom in Westwood, MA., for many years before her retirement. Rita came from Lebanon with her father and helped him start his bakery in the south end of Boston. They were one of the first bakers to sell pita bread. She was a lover of good food and enjoyed listening to all types of music.
She is survived by her stepchildren, Nancy E. Lanteigne of Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, Richard J. Hutchings and his wife Theresa of Attleboro, MA., Janet M. Boucher of Boston, MA., Frances M. Correa-Goncalves of Attleboro, MA., Thomas P. Hutchings and his companion Lori of Seekonk, MA., and Peter J. Hutchings and his wife Darlene of Avon, MA., 15 grandchildren, beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Sam Coury.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the "Commonwealth Chapel" of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro, MA followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in Shepardville Cemetery, 74 Taunton Street, Plainville, MA.
