Rita Antoinette Boucher

Rita Antoinette (Bouchard) Boucher, 83, of Cumberland, RI, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, RI. She was the beloved wife of Norman G. Boucher.Born on October 5, 1932 in Central Falls, RI, she was the daughter of the late Alfred G. Bouchard and the late Blanche A. (Larocque) Bouchard. Rita worked for many years as an Assembler for the L.G. Balfour Company in Attleboro, MA, and also as a Nursing Assistant. She was a resident of Cumberland for the past eight years. A devoted Catholic who found comfort and faith from the Bible, she attended the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette in Attleboro. Rita enjoyed reading, taking walks, and most things having to do with the Harry Potter series of books and movies. She was a kind and generous woman who could often be found caring for others, and always valued time spent with her cherished family.In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Cameron)  Malouin; step-son, Kyle J. Boucher and his wife, Kimberly, of North Smithfield, RI; and step-daughter, Kim Boucher of Cumberland, RI. She was the adoring grandmother of Kristopher, and step-grandmother of Ebony and Veronica. Rita was the sister of Eddy Bouchard, Alfred Bouchard, and Rene Bouchard, and leaves several nieces and nephews..Visitation has respectfully been omitted. Burial will be private.
