Richard Joseph Wachowski

Richard Joseph Wachowski, C.P.C.U., 47, of Church Street, North Attleboro, died unexpectedly on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at his residence. He was the former spouse and best friend of Lisa-Marie (Kehoe) OConnell of North Attleboro. Born in Buffalo, New York on January 7, 1964 he was a son of Richard Wachowski of Cheektowaga, New York and the late Janet (Adamski) Wachowski. Mr. Wachowski was raised and educated in his native New York where he was a 1982 graduate of Castile High School and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from S.U.N.Y. at Geneseo in 1986. He was a self-employed independent property adjustor and previously had been employed by Aetna and Travelers insurance companies for more than 25 years. Mr. Wachowski returned to North Attleboro in January 2010 from Tallahassee, Florida where he had resided from 2007 2010. Prior to moving to Florida, he was a North Attleboro resident from 2000 2007 and formerly resided in Foxboro. He attended St. Mark Roman Catholic Church in the Attleboro Falls section of North Attleboro with his family. Mr. Wachowski was a devoted Buffalo Bills fan from his years spent in New York but for several years enjoyed seasons tickets to the New England Patriots. Above all his lifes accomplishments he will be best remembered for the love he showed his two sons each and every day. In addition to his best friend and former spouse and his father, he leaves two sons: Richard Ryan Wachowski, age 15, of North Attleboro and Griffin James Wachowski, age 11, of North Attleboro and four siblings: Diane Wachowski; Elizabeth Poppel and her husband, Steve Poppel; his twin: John Wachowski and Greg Wachowski all in New York. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 5:00 8:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, take a right at the top of the exit, of a mile on the left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. For those needing a local ride to visitation simply call (508) 695-0200 to make an advance reservation for such gratis transportation. Family and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 10:00 AM in St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, 115 Stanley Street, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro with the Rev. Thomas A. Frechette, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be private. There will be no funeral cortege from the funeral home prior to the commencement of the funeral Mass. Following church services an invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at a location to be announced. Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. Wachowskis name may be made to the Dyer-Lake Charitable Foundation, a registered 501 (c) 3 organization, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro, MA 02760 to benefit the North Attleboro Animal Shelter.
