Richard Harold Rader, 58, of Thacher Street, Attleboro, died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 8, 2012 at home. He was the beloved husband of Paula M. (Gordon) Rader to whom he was married on August 12, 1995. He was born in North Kingston, Rhode Island on May 18, 1954. He was raised and educated in North Attleboro and had resided in Attleboro for many years. Richard was employed by Local 4 as an operating engineer For the last 20 years. He was extremely devoted to his family in particular his grandchildren. He treasured the time he spent riding with his friends on his Harley Davidson. Richard enjoyed woodworking and building things with his hands, working in his yard and restoring things. He always had a kind word for everyone. He was everyone's friend. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. In addition to his wife of 17 years, he leaves two children: Corri Lynn Berube and her husband, Richard N. Berube, of Attleboro and Eric Paul Rader and his wife, Julie A. (Davis) Rader, of Norton; two stepchildren: James H. Moffat and his wife, Leanne (Delaney) Moffat, of South Attleboro and Jessica L. (Moffat) Ressler and her husband, Craig R. Ressler, of Attleboro; 8 grandchildren and countless friends. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend visitation on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the "Memorial Chapel" of Dyer-Lake Funeral Home - the national historic Colonel Obed Robinson Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue (exit 5 off I-95 N or S, go right at end of ramp, mile on left), Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro. Kenneth Boyle, Pastor of Candleberry Chapel, South Main Street, Attleboro, officiating. Burial will follow St. Stephen's Cemetery, Attleboro. An invitation will be extended to join the family for a time of continued fellowship and refreshments at the conclusion of services at a location to be announced. Please do not send flowers.
